In our pursuit for story and obsession with our fellow creatives, we love visiting with other artists and sharing their space and their art through video. Our Studio Visit series explores space and process. We hope these stories inspire others to be strong in their independence, do their own thing, and continue to make make make.
Sarah Owen is an artist, interior stylist and curator/collector and we had the pleasure of visiting her studio in Oakland recently. Her work has been published in Rolling Stone, Dwell.com, House and Garden, Rue Magazine, San Francisco Magazine, Town and Country, The New York Times and various online platforms. Some of her commercial clients include Instagram, Pinterest, Airbnb, Adobe, Pop-Up Magazine and Shinola. The book, Maker Spaces (2015), features her renovated warehouse showroom which is filled with furniture, fixtures and objects she has made, collected or commissioned. Her studio is also available for rent as a production or event location hosting performances, workshops, dinners, pop-ups and photo shoots.
Meet Sarah.
